1/2 cup chopped pecans
2 teaspoons butter
Dash of salt
8 ounces package of cream cheese, softened
5 ounce jar sliced dried beef, chopped
2 drops tabasco sauce
1 tablespoon grated onion
Combine pecans, butter, and salt in shallow pan.
Bake at low temperature until crisp - about 10 to 15 minutes.
Set aside.
Combine cream cheese, beef, tabasco sauce, and onion.
Shape into a log or ball, and roll in pecan mixture.
Refrigerate several hours or until firm.
Serve with crackers.
