Grilled Mozzarella Cheese Sandwich
Servings: 6 to 8

Ingredients :

* 6 slices Italian bread [1/3-inch / 8-mm thick]
* 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] milk
* 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] grated Mozzarella cheese
* 2 tablespoons [30 mL] flour
* 2 large eggs, beaten
* 3 tablespoons [45 mL] oil
* 3 tablespoons [45 mL] butter
* Salt and pepper

Preparation

* Remove crusts from bread slices.
* Soak bread slices into milk.
* Evenly sprinkle bread slices with grated Mozzarella cheese.
* Well season with salt and pepper.
* Cover with remaining bread slices.
* Half sandwiches.
* Sprinkle sandwiches with flour; dip each sandwich in beaten eggs.
* Over medium heat, into a large frypan, heat together oil and butter.
* Brown sandwiches for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until cheese melts and bread slices are golden brown.
* Drain sandwiches onto paper toweling.
